power windows

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

both passenger & driver's side power windows only go up about a 1/3 of the way. After a few minutes they go up further & a few minutes alter up all the way. Any clues?

I was going to suggest the same thing as Js08016 did. It sounds like the works are gummed up, depending where you live, it is a common thing. Salt air environment, hot sandy areas, humid dusty or crop dust environment or just cold/hot/ weather. Check for clearances and adjustments also. The motors may need looking at since they have been working on a strain, and may be near burnt out.
