Asked by Gary Nov 08, 2020 at 11:02 PM about the 1998 Dodge RAM 2500 Laramie SLT Quad Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Dodge diesel 2500 runs great no problem and
periodically it will lose power then sometimes it
will break loose and run fine but then out of the
blue it will lose power again I can stop turn it off
turn it back on Let It Prime up start it and run fine
then all of a sudden it loses power again have
changed fuel filter thought that it might be clogged

1 Answer

Suction in the tank may be your problem. Trash gets against the suction while running. Then falls away when you stop it.
