Asked by Frankiereed Mar 10, 2016 at 09:43 PM about the 2006 Dodge RAM 1500 SLT Quad Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello I recently changed my front driver
side brake caliper after I also bleed it after
installing it but now I can not get a good
pedal of brakes I have to pump them to
stop I don't know what I did wrong I think I
might have let the fulid run out of the
master cause I was waiting on new caliper
do I need new master an if not how do I
get a full pedal back cause it's not safe to
have to pump up the brakes to stop!

If you let the master cylinder ran out of brake fluid, waiting for the caliper, it will need to be bench bled to get the air out. Then re-bleed the brakes.

My husband is changing the breaks on his dodge ram 1500 he took the caliper off and the rotor fell off in his hand. Is the rotor supposed to be wobbly after you take the caliper off?
