Hard start

Asked by Nick Jun 16, 2016 at 04:46 AM about the 2005 Dodge RAM 1500 Laramie Quad Cab LB 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So we just had our fuel pump replaced in the truck it ran
and stated just fine b4 and not it runs just fine just has a
vary hard start takes 3 or 4 trys to start the only code it is
throwing is cam shaft sensor it had a brand new.one of
those along with a new crank sensor and a new map
sensor.... the code will not clear... we have no clue what to
do at this point... it runs with out a problem once you get it
started

Vacuum gauge is the easy first check make sure the timing is Ok, IF, it is...Have some repair this that, can read an electrical schematic and use a multimeter, check circuits trace harness wires and repair the NO signal to computer? issue.. clear the DTC codes and run a diagnostic. approx 30 min.. fee $100 Regards
