04 RAM 1500 5.7 HEMI. No heat from vents, engine running hot in 30 degree weather.

04 1500 RAM 5.7 HEMI. Heat began blowing cold air sporadically. Few days later my engine temp was extremely high with temps only around 30 degrees outside. I noticed the coolant level was very low and went to the dealer to get the recommended coolant and topped it off. Few days later in the morning the ETC warning light came on so I turned around and parked the truck (was a very cold morning). Yesterday (30 degrees outside) with the coolant level verified I ran the truck for a little while at idle. No heat from the vents only cold air, and engine temp again was extremely high. It appears there is a second fan in the front on the drivers side that was not running. What does this sound like the issue could be? Thanks in advance for a reply.

I think you need to find the leak and purge air out of the system. Look on Youtube for how to videos.

Coolant shouldn't be going anywhere. It must be leaking. A pressure test usually helps find the problem.
