i have a 2004 dodge ram 1500 5.7 slt and it died on me in traffic,,, it tries to start but wont stay running i already put a new altanator in it but its still trying to start but it wont stay running

I had a similar problem with my 04 5.7 hemi. driven 230,000+ miles. Will turn over but not start. Thought it was a bad fuse. All okay, had towed and garage checked. Fuel pump went belly up. Had it replaced, no problems since. Ready for next 230,000 miles.
