Question type: General

Can I put a camper with a dry weight of 1370 lbs on my 2001 Dodge Ram
1500 2wheel drive quad cab?

I don't see why not but I would install HD shocks and maybe helper springs or air bags to stabilize a top heavy load.

My worry is if my truck weights 5000lbs and then add two people 350 lbs a tank of gas , supply’s, 30 gals of water in the camper and the camper weighs 1370lbs I’ll be over my GVWR of 6400 lbs. Am I at risk of structural damage or.....?
