Can you take the fuel injection off and replace it with a carburator intake

if so, do you have to replace the distributor?

No you can not do that. The truck runs by a OBDII computer. The existing wiring harness wouldn't work. The computer runs the transmission also.

Listen to Rowe- one of the wisest of the Gurus- that would not be me- however, let me add, just buy an old pick up with a carb before they become so expensive that us little people won't be able to get one- they are not making any more of them-
