Is dextron 6 ok to use instead of atf4

I'm having my transmission rebuilt, they're putting dectron 6
in instead of atf4. Will this damage my A518 transmission

I checked the Havoline Dex6 specs and it is NOT listed for your truck. Make them put the correct stuff in or PROVE that it is correct. Dex6 is backwards compatible to Dex3.

ATF4 is recommended, I would NOT use anything else.
