97 godge truck want start when ir heats up

put a new starter on and relax it will
start rite up but after the truck runs and
I trun it off want start back

it is because the exhauts is too close to the starter you need to make a heat shield for the starter place it between the exhaust and starter this should solve the problem .I made mine out of aluminum it still starts for my 02 ram .
