Oil pressure drops and raises irratically when oil level is low. Now sounds like it has spun a berring.

I don't know about the lifters I wasn't in the truck when it happened. Lifters are quiet now but I only ran it for about 10 seconds. You pretty much confirmed what I was thinking that anything less than a complete overhaul is probably a waste of time and money. Truck is not worth that much money. Thanks for the advice.
