Fuel pump will start and I can hear the pump running but
then when I start my truck it starts with no problems but
then after a few minutes of sitting while running it dies and
fuel pump stops running

Check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail. The signal to the fuel pump will stop if the engine is NOT running.
