Fuel pump not kicking on

1996 was the first year for OBDII, and it had it's problems in those early years, so that might have something to do with it. But then there are age problems in any car that's thirty years old. Could be a bad ground or a faulty power line. Or... did you check the fuse? A lot of people just don't. This is just diagnostics.

Does it run when gas is added to intake? If so check Underhood fuel pump relay if the relay. You can run a fused lead to 12+ on pump itself and ground to the truck fuel pump will work w key on. Make sure its key on only not ACC so not to run down your battery while just chill in w the bros or hanging w your girl. Nothing sucks worse than skeeter nibbled stuck in BFE
