my 96 ram 4x4 had psoi but it started to have excess pinion play. so i bought a rear end
that wasnt posi cause i couldnt find one with posi for a decent price. so my question is
can i use parts from my old rear end to make my new one posi?

okay, you can answer this yourself by shopping for the replacement part for each...if it's the same...bingo, use it~
