Checking transmission fluid

01 Chevrolet cavalier transmission fluid,  there's a
cap but not an dipstick. . . . How is one supposed
to check the fluid?  Please am thank you

I've built many of trucks an cars but it's my girlfriends car an I've never heard of that, thank you for your time
