Brakes and rotors

Asked by GuruKK88 Apr 30, 2017 at 06:39 PM about the 1998 Chevrolet S-10 LS Extended Cab RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought front brakes and rotors for my 98 chevy
s10. Due to metal on metal braking sound. Took
front tire off, rotor looks good. Both do. Looked at
rear and those are the rotors with the grooves in
them. Not the front, they're smooth still. It has been
my understanding that the brake pedal was for the
front brakes not rear. Am I wrong? What is going
on? Please asap.

The brake pedal for the front and rear when you press the brake pedal the brake fluid transfer from master cylinder to the all four caliber. If you look any scratch on the rotors try to do rotors service on mechanic shop with new brake pad.or buy new if you know how to replace it

Will a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado brake rotors fit a 2003 Chevrolet S10
