I have a 96 s10 that keeps blown the ecm battery 20amp fuse, no code but random misfire, do i need a new ecm or is it a short???

Just had the fuel pump replaced, it
will run fine for awhile but then it will
just shut off and die until i replace
fuse then it will run for awhile until it
does it again

U don't think the ecm is bad? The abs light stays on but no code for it,

I would search for a short somewhere like rollinCoal said. lot cheaper than a new ecm and most likely your problem.

Ya, i am tring that, just took the bed off and looked at all the wire there, fixed afew wires that looked questionable but it still done it, i put wire in the fuse and when i hit a bump the day light symbol comes on the dash, looks like the dash is next
