2001 chevy blazer start , sometimes fire

Hello all. I have a 2001 chevy blazer 4.3. The other
day it drove just fine but left me in the wal mart
parking lot it started but would not fire. I left it
there for a day and went back and sprayed it with
starter fluid and it ran fine for 2 days. I got it home
and put a new rotor cap and button on it and it
drove fine up town . i then went to get in and it
done the same thing .. Started but would not fire
up not even with starter fluid. Any help is
appreciated in ways to trouble shoot before i go
spend hundreds of dollars on parts that i may not
even need . thank you

Check the simple things first check air filter replace if needed clean throttle body with throttle body cleaner and replace fuel filter if have not done so in awhile.

Thank you i put a new air filter and fuel filter on it last night and have the same problem
