2001 chevy blazer ls 2 door wont start

my 2001 chevy blazer isnt starting. so far ive replaced the starter, distrubtor,
fuel tank, fuel pump,fuel filter, ignition switch, battery, battery terminals, o2
sensors, and neutral safety switch im at a loss of what to do next can
someone help. it cranks but no start and it backfires out the muffler in the
back and black smoke is coming out. it started once for about 10 seconds and
that was it. ???

Sounds like it's either flooded with gasoline or the timing chain has jumped. Remove the spark plugs and inspect them. If they're wet with gasoline the fuel injector spider assembly needs to be replaced. This was a VERY common failure point on these vehicles! While you're checking the spark plugs, do a compression test as well. If all cylinders test very low or zero it's jumped timing. Hope that helps! Jim

Oh and on the spider assembly get the second design and don't replace individual injectors. Replace the whole assembly. Jim

today i replaced the ignition module and checked the crankshaft sensor and it was so nasty and completely covered in oil and i replaced the sensor and cleaned the whole throttle body and still nothing. i ordered a new valve seal gasket and air mass flow sensor and spark plugs and we will see what happen next
