Why does my gears not shift correctly?

Asked by Joshua Sep 15, 2020 at 03:05 PM about the 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer LT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have 02 Chevrolet Trailblazer gears 1-2 won't shift
correctly I get high rpms when I lift off the gas the gears
shift. I've replaced the shift solenoids & vss I need more of
insight as to what else may cause the gears to shift
correctly thank you!

Hello, this has happened to me personally on my own Trailblazer. The throttle position sensor can do this to you. Unfortunately, it's integrated into the throttle body, would need to buy a new throttle body.
