I knew I had to change the tensioner pulley so I
decided to go ahead and change it and the spark
plugs the oil oil filter air filter and now my cars
check engine light is on and it idles rough and it
has no power where could my problem be

might need to change the sparkplug wires too . change it one at a time to avoid any mess- ups. . also, pull trouble codes at a shop that has free diagnostics o'reilly or pepboys good luck .

Hi Cynthia, have the codes pulled and report back what code is there. 2 things to look for after the repairs were made. Under the plastic resonator that says Vortec 4200, on drivers side, there is a small curly pcv tube that goes from the plastic resonator to the valve cover. Make sure this was plugged back in. Our engine does not have traditional "sparkplug wires", so triple check each coil, feel and listen to the click on each plug. Easy to NOT do it right.
