F150 5.4 broken spark plug?

I just acquired this 2005 F150. It's got a
5.4, the previous owner passed away, and
was in the middle of changing the plugs.
The one on #8 is my issue. It appears to
have been broken off, I've tried the socket
first and it's not catching anything. Step
two, thread the extractor in and try that
but it appears that the threads are still in
the head because I can't get the tool to
thread up. I took a picture because I can't
look directly into the hole, but cant really
figure out how to proceed. Any help would
be appreciated.

Try a bolt extractor, you can get one at a parts or hardware store.

Try taking a six point socket that is just a little smaller then the spark plug socket. With an extension tap it onto the rounded spark plug with a hammer maybe enough to catch and remove spark plug.
