Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2004 ford f150 that started with a fuel
pump (I thought) replaced the fuel pump, fuel drive
module, new battery, fuel filter and still will crank
no start. Now I went out to try and start it again
after tinkering with it and it won't crank at all at
there is a ticking noise coming from the fuse box
and all the gauges tick back and forth for about 10
seconds. Please help asap!

Charge the battery and spray a little bit of starting fluid down the throttle body. It should run a few seconds on that. If it does you have a fuel problem. If not check for spark. If you have spark and fuel but it still won't run it's time to do a compression test. If all cylinders test very low or zero it's jumped timing. Hope that helps! Jim

Delivery of fuel. Most times if you have bad gas the engine will still run, but poorly. Hope that helps! Jim

Thanks Jim! I just pulled the fuel filter and there's gas in both lines so it's getting that far. But it doesn't seem to be getting to the engine?
