2003 Ford F150 Knock v8 5.4l....can this be caused from fuel injectors
My fuel pump is less than a year old, I have changed the spark plugs and
all the coils, the air filter, PCV valve, recently along with an oil change.
Before changing the oil, I put i cup of kerosene in the oil and ran the truck
for appx 40 miles, than immediately changed the oil. I have also added
seafoam to my fuel. All of these things have made a huge difference in
how it runs and my gas mileage has increased 4.5 mpg. I have a knocking
sound that is only heard when the accelerator is pushed. There is no
knocking when the truck is idling. As I push the accelerator the knocking will
increase. I would greatly appreciate any information. I read some on the
knock sensor and noisy lifters, after listening to some videos online, I do
not believe it is a lifter, but I am not a professional. I believe my engine is
strong and have been told by a neighboring mechanic that is sounds good.
Any ideas?
