intermittent no start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Starting the car in the morning, I hear the fuel pump prime and the truck starts fine. After the
car sits for two hours or so, I have to cycle the key eight to twenty times for the fuel pump
to
engage and truck to start. I don t think it is the fuel pump, does it have something to do
with ignition, computer
or the theft control? I am at a loss. Please help!!!

See if there is power going to the fuel pump relay. It could be a bad relay or any of the things you mentioned. --- If it's not the relay, I would suspect dirty ignition switch contacts next. I don't think the computer or theft control cares how many times you try the key.
