94 Ford f150 flareside stalls or won't start on front tank but will on rear

I have a 94 f150 flareside and as I was driving
down the road it acted like it ran out of gas. Got to
the side of the road and check but gas was full in
front tank. Switch to rear tank started and got to
gas station. And wouldn't start again. Put more
gas in rear tank and started up and got back home.
So it looks like it will run on the rear but dies on
front and won't start up on front either.
