No spark

Asked by Bryan Mar 25, 2016 at 02:01 PM about the 1991 Ford F-150 XL LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have replaced the stator, pick-up mod,
ignition coil, ecm and tumbler on my '91
f150 and still have no spark out of my
ignition coil. I tested the cool and it's good.
Any ideas?

Yes, many things can contribute to an ignition failure. A distributor stator, a module, key power from the ign switch, power to the coil, a bad coil, broken wires, worn distributor bushings causing the vanes to crash into the stator - there's a method to diagnosing a concern. You could throw money at it and get lucky though.
