4x4 quit--am putting a new transfer case on,

need to get it in 2wd first so I can take it and get the transfer case recoded.
am putting a new transfer case on, and want to make sure i get it in 2wd first, how can i make sure i do that as i cannot turn it after its on. I don't see any line up marks.

Do not plug the motor in and turn it.You have to turn the transfer case rod/shaft to line up with the motor. The motor is timed and if it turns it will get out of time and junk it.

Use a pair of pliers to turn the shaft on the TRANSFER and line it up to the motor before you ever plug the wiring up.
