Is it normal for an 05' V10 to crank for several seconds before start?

I have owned several Ford trucks, but have never owned one with a V10 in it.
All previous trucks started right up. My present truck cranks fine, but takes
several seconds to start. It has 18,000 miles on it.Is it possible that Ford has
built in a delay for oil pressurization or something like that?

It should run after 5 sec or less of cranking. They will start regaurdless of oil pressure
