My 4 wheel drive is stuck in low range

I can't get my 4wheel drive out of low
range is there anyway I can disconnect my
4x4 I don't need it

I would first check the transfer case fluid level and condition. It may be out of fluid causing it to lock in 4x4 Low. The servo that shifts the transfer case may be bad, or the switch, or a fuse, or the wiring.
