No hot air

Asked by Pate hq4jqrjjdjdq Dec 11, 2018 at 05:12 PM about the 2003 Chevrolet Blazer LS 4-Door 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My temperature gauge reads normal, I just
changed the thermostat in whenever I took
off the hose it was full of looks like rust or
chunks of garbage debris. Both hoses going
into the heater core are cool even when the
engine is hot

My vehicle....I would do an entire fluid flush and critique components after that. What you found in the hoses is not good. Probably in your radiator like that also. Reverse flush heater core while system is empty. Refill and bleed air out. Might be wise to do this again after 100 miles. Antifreeze is cheaper than overheating and warping heads.
