Is there any way that I could provide the VIN numbers of two different vehicles to tell if an engine swap would be possible?

Asked by BayouBengal24 Dec 19, 2019 at 05:28 PM about the 2002 Ford F-250 Super Duty Lariat 4WD Crew Cab LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The VIN numbers for the two vehicles are: 1FTNW21L42ED18914.
1FMNU42L9YEB87256.  The first number is my truck, which is A 2002 FORD
F250 SUPER DUTY with a 5.4. The other is a wrecked 2000 Ford Excursion
with supposedly the same 5.4.I am getting the motor for cheap, and someone
said they could do the install for under $1,000. I want to see if this is possible,

There is an engine code on the back of the block usually on upper drivers side. Kinda hard to see but google and cross refrence for engine spec. Also 800 is what i used to charge for engine swaps. Good luck
