is 100,000 thousand miles to many on a 2002 S500

I have a opportunity to buy a 2002 S500 with 100,000 miles on it from a second owner, it sounds and looks like she really took care of the car, I got her down to 7000. it needs two of the four catalytic converter. she said it is the lesser expensive ones. I 'm kind of worried about the 100,000 miles on it. I have been told that a 100,000 mile is nothing on this type of car if it's been keep up, so i guess that is my question to you is what type of life expectancy cant be expected on this type of car with keeping up with the required mantainence.

At least another 15 to 20 years if not longer but beware the air ride might go out and also thats a great deal you can by it then take it to your nearest car dealership and trade it in.
Mileage is really not an issue if the car is being maintained.The front suspension leveling system can create problems which are expensive to resolve,be sure that it works properly.
Find out how much the catalytic converter first. Mercedes parts and labor is nor cheap....$7000 is just an average price if the car is in perfect condition, in this case the car needs repair, I would suggest not to buy it...unless you get it for around five thousand. The mileage is considered low mileage based in the national average.
I ad a2003 s500 had an accident so I found a 2000 with 43000 k the only thing is the air shock I had almost all models this car is great not the best intirior the plastic but once you drive a Benz you don't want to go to another car I drove 1000 miles the comfort is a 10 and who ever says it breaks down its true all cars due I bought my son a2002 e class runs new 2 years later just brakes and oil change to me there are a lot of good cars but Mercedes is my choice and will always be
Drop it and buy a Cadillac. Nothing competes with a cts-v.
wrong Mercedes cost what they due because they are worth it. a used Mercedes say a 2008cls with 50k miles is a better deal than a 2015 buick both cost same
I purchased a mercedes 2002s500 for 3000 dollars it was worth putting a few bucks into it, the look the ride can't beat it! even if I have to put a few more buck into it, we'll worth the money,
Cadillac is garbage ,Mercedes is the best car ever made.
I have an 03 with 250.000 miles, bought used with 50k miles. Replaced the air strut disaster with coil over, no issues now. Replaced radiator, transmission (made it to 180.000) rebuilt the front end, replaced motor mounts 2x. Be ready to fix any system on the car that uses air, like the trunk actuator, the door soft close, etc. You will spend about 1,000 first each instance. Also the trunk wiring loom will fail but easy to replace. Also the duo valve will fail for the ac/heat system.
Oh one last thing, the shifter lockout will break and you cant get it out of park.
