Chevy Trailblazer will not shift when brake is applied

I am able to use the remote starter to
start the vehicle and it runs. The issues is,
when the car shut off, it was running and I
was driving down the street from work.

Now the car will not turn on with the key.
I also can not put the truck in neutral to
have it pushed to the side of the road.

There's a shift lock that's defective. Use the emergency shift release to get it into neutral.
