Driver side windows will not operate correctly.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Fuse good. The back window will go down only with door switch.  The window switches in the consol will only work on the right side windows.  Br putting power to the harness after taking the door switch out, the window will go up and done with direct power.  It seem the left side has a polarity issue.  The right side works great.  I switch all the window switches and they work properly on the right side.  The switches are good. There is something wrong in the harness.  What could it be?

Shouldn't be a polarity issue as a 12-volt system is reversible, meaning 12v in one direction makes the motor go up, 12v in the opposite direction makes the window go down. I would suggest that perhaps the connector at the harness terminal where it attaches to the switch might have cracked or broken wires or end pieces. This may require a dealership to check it out.

a nother bit of info is ya front right and rear left are 1 circuit and front left rear right is on the other im having a similar problem me self wrk on door switch and not on switches on center consol i aint rele bin to boverd to fix rele but im gonna give it ago wen i get bk off holiday in 2 wks if i succed i will tell ya some info on it m8

If your taking the switch out of the circuit and putting power directly through the switches loom plug, would that not then suggest it's a faulty switch and not a fault in the loom???? Just a thought.
