I just purchased a new key fob for my 2004 cavalier and need to know how I can program it without going to the dealer

Go to youtube and type in what you typed here,there are video,s to show you how.

I tried that but none are specific to my year and make and I cant seem to enter programing mode in order to sync the new one up

OK,try this.turn igntion on and of five times within about 30 seconds,light should blink,when it blink,s hit the remote,s lock button.
