transmission bumping or going in and out of gear

Asked by chiefts Sep 25, 2019 at 08:56 PM about the 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer LS 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 trailblazer that just started around 55 to 70 mph when driving in
cruise control, the transmission is acting like it going in and out of gear
(bumping). Doesn't do this in lower speeds.

Check the fluid level but at this point you probably need a new transmission.

Fluid levels ok and doesn't have burnt smell. Kinda acts like it trying to change gears.

Maybe an electronics issue that a transmission shop can diagnose.
