Why does my 94 Toyota Tercel shut off when it's hot outside, causing windshield to fog up?

While driving for about 5 miles in the heat and heavy downtown traffic, my car
just went dead in the middle of the road. It would re-start, but go dead again.
The windshield fogged up, and I smelled anti-freeze. No moisture in the
floorboard though. I have been told 3 different possibilities.

Pull the motor oil dipstick. If the oil looks like chocolate milk, bad news. Head gasket. If the motor oil looks good check coolant level in radiator, matter of fact do that anyway. Do that with engine COLD Windshield fogging up is an indication of a leaking heater core, and the car may have overheated Come back and let us know what you see.
