Truck won't crank

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My battery shorted out on my hood
and a cloud of smoke exited under
hood. Sometimes it will turn over yet
not run,  other times it won't even
turn over, ran obd11 code checker,  
showed no faults.

This happened to my grandpas truck. It turned out it fried the computer which was a $600 fix.
