I have a buzzing humming noise coming from under my hood jus had rack and pinion done Friday and this noise started it only does it every couple mins what could this be in a 2005 chevy

Does this happen only when the vehicle is moving? Than I'd take it back and see if the mechanics need to adjust or tighten something down. If it does it when it is stationary before moving, than you may have a moving part, belt or pulley rubbing against something. If it is stationary and only does it cold, in the morning have someone start the car when you have the hood up and are looking down into the engine to isolate the area of the noise.
