I will only say this sounds remarkably like a prank my brother pulled on me. Could someone be pulling a prnak on you and laghing as you scratch your head in puzzlement?

Sound like you Have bad cell in your battery over night it drains down then fully charge on your way to work. I have also had a problem like that with my truck starting some time then then the next morning it almost like you need to burn up your starter to get it going. Unto it would not start at all it was my cold start sensor going bad never had that problem again once I replace it, starts up fine every time like new now.

I have the same problem on a 1989 toyota truck 22r 2wd but is a carburetor
