Could a rear ended accident cause the check engine light, VSC light and ABS light to come on?

Rear bumper, tail light/lamp, tail lift replaced due to accident damage.

four wheel alignment is critical...just changin' the bumper does not address structural damage...this vehicle must be inspected with lasers and any misalignment tended to....OW, your spine....yourself should be examined for subsequent damages~

Thanks for your quick reply. The damage was just repaired. Before getting my Highlander back, it was taken to Toyota dealer for routine oil change at 83,000 miles. Toyota service dept said the check engine light and VSC light is now on and needs new 02 sensor at a cost of $698. My question to him was could this be caused from the fender bender accident since the lights were not on prior to the accident. He said he didn't think so and that it was probably just a coinsidence that it happened at this same time. What do you think?

This exact thing just happened to me. I was rear ended by a semi.
