how do you reset check engine light?

If it's on you need to get it checked out.

Problem: my check engine light and trac off display(not the car symbol with wavy tracks ;only the words in digital display) came on after my air filter casing was not properly closed allowing air in after an oil change by a company I will go back to and continue to do business with. FYI If you fix the problem; time while car is shut off and parked is the reset. How much I don’t know. Started car several times and drove for a little while after incident and light would not go off. Went inside and told girlfriend to go have it checked at dealership the next day Got in my car an hour later and problem was gone.
