malfunction indicator lamp came on my 2005 toyota corolla ce

a month ago had it serviced and the serpentine belt was replaced but not the tensioner pulley which they said was starting to loose adjustment.  Told me if it started to squeal I would need the replace it but it has not.  288,278 kilometres at service date.   Should I drive my car with the light on or do I need to take it in to the dealership and if I do can I drive it in.

Did they do an OBDII scan? If so, whet are the codes? Meantime you can drive the car as long as it's not overheating and the CEL, Check Engine Light is not flashing. A blinking CEL indicates a more serious problem. And you can get a scan at a parts house (Usually) and don't buy anything until you tell us the codes. One of us will be happy to guide you. Check your gas cap, make sure the seal is good
