why did my speedometer on my 2003 toyota corolla stop at 299999

The mileage stopped ad 299999 and did not go up.  The trip mileage works
fine. Would this be a recall item?

I doubt you will get Toyota to pay for any repairs to a car with 300,000+ miles on it.

Your car has 300,000 miles on it. Think about this for a while and maybe it will come to you ;)
