Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 99 Corolla 5 speed. Check engine light is on and I
get  P 0500 and P 0500(sd) or (vs.) (Or something or other)
Changed the speed sensor twice first time because of code
second because I thought the new one might be defective.
Any suggestions?

as with any electrical issue, always check fuses and relays. but I would look really hard at the wiring to the speed sensor. could be damaged somewhere.
