My car will stay started but goes very slow
when I take off

Run diagnostics with a scan tool. Based off this little bit of info there isn't much help you are going to get. How many miles? Any lights on the dash that indicate an issue? Clogged cat? IAC valve dirty? plugs and wires - how old? Multitude of things that can keep your car from running correctly.
