mine is an automatic transmission with L-2-D on the shifter does it have overdrive?

Nope, not on the older toyota's. It has always been a complaint that toyota's hold such a high rpm on the freeway.

look on the shifter see if their is a push button on it,should say OD ON -OD OFF.
