BIG PROBLEM........ I just snapped the bolt / plate for serpintine tension

just snapped off the fixed bolt on
the tension mechanism....... what
do i do now? how do i go about
relieving the tension so i can take
off the belt?????

I would order new tensioner. $45 - $80. Also buy a new belt. Try slowly loosening the Bolt that hold the tensioner in place and carefully rotating the tensioner to release the tension. If all else fails cut belt and replace with a new one.

After looking at a new one you might be able to put a wrench on the center bolt of the pulley and use it as leverage to move tensioner arm.
