2006 Camry LE. Keyless key will not open door without several tries and real key will not
open door or start car without several tries. Dealer wants $800 to replace computer. Any
suggestions? Thank you.
New question. My girl friend took the above car into a Las Vegas Toyota dealer and was charged $600 for a transponder and $200 for installation. I just looked up Camry Transponder on several web sites and the chip seems to cost $5 to $7. What could the Las Vegas Toyota dealer have done that costs her $800? I am afraid that "my answer" is that the Las Vegas Toyota dealer horribly cheater my girl friend. Hope I am wrong so I would like to hear possible reasons for her bill.

I would stay away from dealers altogether unless your car is under warranty. Their hourly labor rates are insane.
